Eve Security
UX Design | Branding Design
At EVE Security, an early-stage AI cybersecurity startup focused on protecting businesses from agentic AI threats, I worked as one of just two designers, taking on a multidisciplinary role that spanned product design, UX research, branding, illustration, and marketing design.
Working in a fast-paced startup environment, I helped shape both the user experience of our cybersecurity platform and the visual identity of the company. On the product side, I conducted UX research, explored user flows, developed wireframes, and designed experiences that made complex cybersecurity concepts more intuitive and accessible.
Beyond the product, I helped establish a more cohesive and recognizable brand presence. I conceptualized and illustrated EVE, the company's superhero mascot, and collaborated on bringing her to life across the website, social media, trade show materials, and other marketing assets.
With a small design team and constantly evolving priorities, I had the opportunity to contribute across nearly every aspect of design, balancing user needs, business goals, and tight deadlines while helping build both a product and a brand from the ground up.

01 Giving EVE a Face: Character & Brand Design
When I joined EVE Security, an early-stage AI cybersecurity startup, the company had the beginnings of a visual identity with a logo and a handful of brand colors, but lacked a cohesive brand story or recognizable personality. We wanted to create something that would make EVE stand out in an increasingly competitive cybersecurity landscape.
Inspired by my love for Marvel, the Avengers, Wonder Woman, and X-Men, I helped conceptualize and illustrate EVE, a female superhero who protects the digital city from emerging agentic AI threats.
I began by hand-illustrating EVE, exploring her silhouette, costume, facial features, and overall personality. Drawing inspiration from classic comic book heroines, I wanted her to embody strength, intelligence, and confidence while maintaining a futuristic aesthetic that reflected the company's AI-driven technology.
With an upcoming trade show quickly approaching, we had a tight timeline to bring the character to life. I collaborated with another designer and incorporated AI-assisted refinement into my illustration workflow to enhance details, polish the artwork, and prepare EVE for use across branded materials.
02 Translating Eve into Marketing Assets
We brought EVE to life across multiple brand touchpoints, incorporating her into trade show materials, social media content, website visuals, and other marketing assets. This helped create a more cohesive and recognizable brand experience while introducing EVE's personality and mission to a broader audience.
The project gave EVE Security more than just a mascot. It established a distinct visual identity and creative direction that made complex cybersecurity concepts more approachable and engaging, while building a foundation for consistent brand storytelling across both digital and physical experiences.

EveGuard Chronicles
I helped design The EVE Chronicles, an editorial-style content series featured within EVE Security's biweekly email newsletter. Inspired by magazine layouts, I incorporated bold typography, engaging visuals, and thoughtful content hierarchy to highlight company updates, industry insights, and our work in cybersecurity.
The goal was to enhance EVE's brand storytelling, create a more engaging experience for readers, and drive traffic to our website through strategically placed links and calls to action.

The Runtime Report
I helped design The Runtime Report, a recurring publication that combined cybersecurity insights with EVE Security's visual identity. To streamline production and maintain brand consistency, we developed a custom Claude skill using report layouts and design assets I had created. This allowed Claude to generate future reports using established typography, layouts, and styling aligned with our brand.
Once the reports were generated, I refined the final designs and incorporated custom illustrations I created for each edition, adding a unique visual storytelling element. This workflow helped us balance design consistency, creative flexibility, and faster production through AI-assisted automation.

03 Product Design & UX Research
Beyond branding and marketing, a significant portion of my work at EVE Security focused on UX research and product design for our AI cybersecurity platform.
As one of two designers at an early-stage startup, I worked across the product design process, from initial research and discovery to prototyping and implementation. I conducted competitive research, developed competitor analyses and product audits, interviewed users, and created UX user profiles to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Using these insights, I developed user flows, wireframes, and interactive Figma prototypes to explore solutions and communicate design decisions. I also incorporated AI-assisted design tools into my workflow and collaborated closely with engineers on the R&D team to refine experiences and implement product improvements.
My focus was on simplifying complex cybersecurity workflows, improving usability, and creating more intuitive experiences for users.
Due to the confidential nature of the product and cybersecurity industry, I'm unable to publicly showcase these projects or their associated research and design deliverables.
